This Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled in Lofi Station ("the App").

Information We Collect

1. Locally Stored Information

The App stores the following information locally on your device:

  • Pomodoro timer settings (work duration, break duration, auto-start settings, etc.)
  • Task list data (task name, status, creation date, etc.)
  • Audio settings (volume, selected music genre, mixer settings, etc.)

This information is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our external servers.

2. Automatically Collected Information

The App may automatically collect the following information for the purpose of improving service quality and features:

  • Device information (OS version, device model, etc.)
  • App usage statistics (number of launches, feature usage frequency, etc.)
  • Crash reports (log information when errors occur)

This information is anonymized and collected in a form that cannot identify individuals.

3. Data Collection via Firebase Analytics

The App uses Firebase Analytics provided by Google to analyze app usage. Firebase Analytics may collect the following information:

  • App usage (screen transitions, feature usage, etc.)
  • Device information (OS version, device model, screen size, etc.)
  • Approximate location information (country/region level)

4. Firebase Authentication (Anonymous Authentication)

The App uses the anonymous authentication feature of Firebase Authentication. Anonymous authentication generates a unique anonymous user ID without collecting personally identifiable information (email address, phone number, etc.). This ID is used solely for data management within the App.

Purpose of Information Use

Collected information is used only for the following purposes:

  1. Providing the App's features and operating the service
  2. Improving user experience and enhancing features
  3. Diagnosing and fixing technical issues
  4. Creating statistical data (anonymized information only)

Use of External Services

The App uses the following external services:

1. Tenor API (Google Inc.)

2. Music Streaming Service

  • Purpose: Delivering BGM and sound effects
  • Information transmitted: Music playback requests (genre, track ID)
  • Delivered via our CDN; no personally identifiable information is transmitted

3. Firebase Analytics (Google Inc.)

These external services are operated in accordance with the privacy policies of each service provider. For details, please refer to the respective privacy policies.

Disclosure to Third Parties

  1. The App will not provide Users' personal information to third parties except in the following cases:
    • When the User has given consent
    • When required by law
    • When necessary for the protection of a person's life, body, or property
  2. The transmission of information to the external services mentioned above (Tenor API, Firebase Analytics, etc.) is limited to the extent necessary for providing the App's features and does not include personally identifiable information.

Data Retention Period

  1. Information on local devices is retained until the User uninstalls the App.
  2. Anonymized statistical information is retained for the period necessary for service improvement.

Security

The App implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect Users' information. However, we cannot guarantee complete security of communications over the Internet.

Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as needed. The revised Privacy Policy shall take effect when posted within the App or on our website.
