Whirlune
Last updated: 3 November 2026
These terms set out the conditions for using Whirlune (the "App"), developed by mibuki, and the related support. Whirlune is a terminal application for macOS and Linux that brings tasks, information from external services and AI coding agent sessions together on one board.
The App's software is provided under the MIT License. Your rights to use, copy, modify, merge, publish, distribute, sublicense and sell copies of it are as set out in that licence, and nothing in these terms restricts them. Third-party components included with the App are covered by their own licences.
Connections to GitHub, Gmail, Claude Code, Codex, Jev and other services are optional. You provide the accounts, sign-ins and plans they need, and you use each service under its own terms and data policies. Fees charged by those services are between you and the provider.
A connection may stop working because of changes, limits or outages on the provider's side. mibuki does not guarantee that any external service remains available.
You manage your computer, operating system account, SSH machines, credentials and backups. If you enable the Web UI, it listens on your computer (localhost), and you decide who can reach it through your own Tailscale network. Do not expose it to the public internet.
Make sure you have the right to process the email, code and other information you use with the App, and to send it to the services you choose. Do not use the App to infringe the rights of others, to access systems without authorization, or in breach of the law or the terms of a connected service.
How data is stored, sent and deleted is described in the Whirlune Privacy Policy.
As stated in the MIT License, the App is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, including the accuracy or completeness of its features, fitness for a particular purpose, freedom from data loss, or continued availability.
These disclaimers and limitations apply only to the extent permitted by applicable law. They do not exclude or limit liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, such as liability for mibuki's intentional misconduct or gross negligence.
We may change the App or these terms and will update this page when we do. Where the law requires notice or consent for a change, we will follow that process. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan, without limiting any mandatory rights you have under the laws that apply to you.
